Alaska's capital, Juneau, was the first city to be settled after Alaska's purchase from Russia, and is located in the Panhandle of Southeast Alaska. The third largest city in the state, Juneau is nestled in the heart of majestic mountains, rivers, forest and glaciers and welcomes visitors with a community rich in culture, history and natural surroundings.
